Developing Your Reefwing

Hey everyone! I'm so glad that so many of you have signed into the MYO Reefwing event!! I didn't know that you guys like the Reefwings so much! Anyways, if you did enter my MYO event then I'd really appreciate if you read the information below. This will help you out in designing, developing and creating your Reefwing.

Colouration and Patterns

While creating your Reefwing please consider the following information so you can create the best possible Reefwing you can design!

Colour
Reefwings can be a variety of colours. Most Reefwings are bright and colourful but could also be brown shades. Green and blue are very common colours and orange is only in the Royal Reefwing family. Do not make a Reefwing with a lot of orange, you can add a little bit of orange but don't make a main colour orange. Here are some designs that I really like and that may give you some inspiration.






Patterns
Reefwings can have any patterns! As complex as tiger stripes to simple dots along their scales! Just don't make any flat colour designs. Make your Reefwing shine!! If you're looking for pattern inspiration, look at these images.





Anatomy
While drawing your Reefwing make sure to look at multiple drawings for scale detail and anatomy. The current best anatomy would be this picture.

Bio and Identity

Here is the information you need to know while creating the backstory and information on your Reefwing. You don't need to create the bio of your Reefwing right away but please start thinking about it when you start designing.

Backstory
Create an interesting backstory. Just make sure it fits along with the society of the Reefwings. For more information on how the society of Reefwings work just check this journal.

Family
You may create a family, no offspring or soulmates though, you must buy those from the Reefwing shop. You may create parents and siblings but just know that these will not be your OC unless you buy them. So all in all you may create parents and siblings but you won't own them until you buy them from the Reefwing shop.

Occupation
Again, please check the Reefwing Lore journal for more information. But, when choosing your Reefwing's occupation go with something like gatherer, merchant, or trader. These are the common jobs of every-day Reefwings. Do not make your Reefwing Royal!

Shipping Your Character

Shipping time! Yay! You are allowed to ship your Reefwing! Try your best to not ship them with any other fan tribe or original tribe from the WOF series. I'm actually going to be making a RPing section in the Reefwing group where you can create relationships between people's Reefwings.

Gender
Reefwings are allowed to be any gender, if that's female, male, agender, or bigender. While considering the gender of your Reefwing please make sure to add if they are Transgender or not. The Reefwing society is very flexible with gender specifications. Just make sure to add it in the information slot in your MYO!

Orientation
Just like gender, orientation is very flexible! Heterosexual, homosexual, asexual, bisexual. Anything is alright. You may change this later on if you decide you'd like your Reefwing to be attracted to a different gender. Please make sure to add this information in your MYO as well.
